Section I — About DASSMA
What exactly is DASSMA?
DASSMA (Destiny Align School of Supernatural Ministry and Activation) is a ministry training and equipping school created to help believers grow in biblical understanding, spiritual identity, leadership, and practical ministry effectiveness. The school is designed to develop individuals who desire to be grounded in God's Word, sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit, and equipped to serve faithfully wherever God has called them. DASSMA seeks to move students beyond simply gaining knowledge toward becoming mature, effective believers who can influence the people and environments around them for the Kingdom of God.
Why was DASSMA Created?
DASSMA was born from a desire to see believers equipped with both strong biblical foundations and practical ministry experience. The founders recognized a need for training that develops not only knowledge, but also spiritual maturity, leadership growth, and effective Kingdom influence in everyday life. The vision of DASSMA is to help students move beyond information alone and into transformation, equipping them to live out their faith with confidence, serve with purpose, and influence the places where God has called them.
Is DASSMA only for pastors or people already in ministry?
No. DASSMA is for pastors, ministry leaders, emerging leaders, and everyday believers who desire to grow deeper in their faith and become more effective in service. Someone does not need a title, platform, or formal ministry position to benefit from the school. DASSMA is designed for individuals who want to strengthen their biblical foundations, develop their gifts, and grow in the purpose and calling God has placed upon their lives.
Is DASSMA only for church ministry?
No. While the training is rooted in biblical foundations and ministry development, the goal is to equip people to become influencers in every area of life. Students can apply what they learn in churches, the marketplace, families, communities, missions, discipleship environments, and leadership settings. DASSMA recognizes that ministry is not confined to a church building; it often happens in the places where God has already called people to live, work, serve, and lead.
What makes DASSMA different?
different? DASSMA combines biblical teaching, ministry activation, practical application, and leadership development within one learning environment. The faculty bring together pastoral, evangelistic, theological, and missional experience, creating a training experience that is both spiritually rich and practically useful. Rather than relying primarily upon the curriculum of other well-known ministry schools, DASSMA has intentionally developed coursework designed to reflect the heart, vision, and ministry experience of its founder and ministry leadership. The emphasis is not simply on gaining information, but on transformation, obedience, and becoming effective in the places where God has called students to serve.
What theological perspective does DASSMA teach from?
DASSMA operates under Destiny Align Ministries and is built upon a biblical, Spirit-filled foundation with a Pentecostal theological perspective. The school emphasizes strong biblical foundations, the ongoing work and ministry of the Holy Spirit, and practical application of biblical truth in everyday life and ministry. Students from a variety of church backgrounds are welcome while engaging with the school's biblical and ministry framework.
Section II — Program Structure & Learning Experience
Is the program online or in person?
DASSMA uses a hybrid learning approach that combines online coursework and assignments with scheduled in-person or live learning experiences such as gatherings, discussions, workshops, and ministry activities. This approach provides students with flexibility while still creating opportunities for relational connection, practical ministry development, and spiritual formation throughout the learning journey.
What courses will students study?
Students will engage with coursework focused on biblical foundations, identity in Christ, leadership development, hearing God's voice, Holy Spirit ministry, spiritual gifts, theology, practical ministry, and additional areas designed to strengthen both personal growth and ministry effectiveness. The curriculum is designed to develop strong biblical understanding while also equipping students with practical tools for leadership, discipleship, ministry service, and Kingdom influence in everyday life. As DASSMA continues to grow, additional courses and specialized pathways may be introduced to support emerging areas of ministry and leadership development.
How much time should students expect to commit?
Students pursuing the degree pathway should expect a meaningful weekly commitment similar to standard college-level coursework for two- and three-credit-hour classes. Time commitments may include reading assignments, online coursework, discussion participation, personal study, practical ministry engagement, and other course-related activities. The exact workload may vary somewhat depending on the course and learning requirements.
Will there be hands-on ministry or practical application?
Yes. DASSMA is not designed to be solely academic. Many courses include ministry participation, activation opportunities, and experiential learning experiences that allow students to apply what they are learning in real-life contexts. Similar to how some college courses include laboratory components, many DASSMA courses offer and/or require practical participation and hands-on ministry experiences. This approach helps bridge the gap between biblical knowledge and faithful practice.
Who is this learning experience best suited for?
DASSMA is a strong fit for individuals who are hungry for spiritual growth, willing to be taught, and ready to engage both study and activation. It works well for those who value biblical depth, practical ministry, and personal transformation. The school is designed for people who desire more than information alone and are seeking growth that impacts both their relationship with God and their effectiveness in serving others.
Section III — Enrollment, Scheduling & Student Pathways
Do I need previous ministry experience to enroll?
No prior ministry experience is required. DASSMA welcomes individuals at different stages of spiritual growth, life experience, and ministry exposure. A person simply needs a willingness to learn, participate, and grow. The school is designed to help students build strong biblical foundations while developing confidence and effectiveness in the areas where God has called them to serve.
Can someone join after the school year or term has already started?
Students may enter DASSMA at designated course introduction points, depending upon the structure of the term and available entry opportunities. However, any required courses that are missed must still be completed in order to satisfy graduation requirements within the degree pathway. Students entering after the beginning of a term may need to complete additional coursework or previously missed courses to remain on track for completion. If someone is interested in joining after a term has already begun, the best next step is to connect directly with the DASSMA team to discuss available options and next steps.
Can someone take individual courses without enrolling in the full program?
Yes. À la carte options are available for individuals who wish to take selected courses for personal enrichment, focused development, ministry training, or as a smaller step of commitment before entering the full degree pathway. Students taking courses in this manner receive Certificates of Completion rather than the full degree credential. Individual courses may also serve as valuable resources for personal study, discipleship environments, ministry teams, or small group learning experiences.
What happens at Orientation?
Orientation introduces prospective and incoming students to the school's vision, structure, expectations, learning format, and next steps. It provides an opportunity for individuals to ask initial questions, better understand the level of commitment involved, and gain a clearer picture of the DASSMA learning experience. Orientation is also designed to help prospective students prayerfully determine whether DASSMA is the right fit for their personal growth and ministry journey.
When do classes begin?
For the 2026 School Year, orientation is currently scheduled for August 20 at 7:00 PM, and classes are scheduled to begin on September 3. Individuals who are interested are encouraged to begin the inquiry process early so they have adequate time to ask questions, review information, and prepare for the upcoming term.
Section IV — Credentials & Next Steps
Will students receive a degree?
Students who successfully complete all required coursework, ministry participation requirements, and program expectations within the degree pathway receive an Associate in Biblical Study. This provides students with a defined pathway and a meaningful milestone that recognizes their investment in biblical training, spiritual development, and ministry preparation.
What if someone is interested but not ready to commit yet?
That is completely fine. DASSMA recognizes that decisions involving spiritual growth, ministry preparation, and personal commitment often require time and prayerful consideration. Individuals are encouraged to stay connected, attend Orientation when appropriate, ask questions, and complete the inquiry form so the DASSMA team can provide additional information and follow up as needed. Interest and clarity often grow through conversation, prayer, and taking one step at a time.
How does someone apply or express interest?
The primary next step is to scan the QR code and complete the inquiry form. Once the information is received, the DASSMA team can provide guidance regarding registration, answer additional questions, and assist with any next steps related to the school experience. Completing the inquiry form also helps establish ongoing communication so interested individuals can receive updates, important dates, and additional information about DASSMA.
